This is my son Sgt. Kyle A. Colnot. 1-67 4th ID. Kyle who was killed in action on 22 April 2006 near Baghdad, Iraq.

That is the day my family and I became a Gold Star Family. A title we never imagined. My wife however had lost her brother Sgt. Roy Lynn Petty in Viet Nam and became my rock in dealing with Kyles loss.

This blog has been placed to invite all family and friends to communicate with others. A place to express our thoughts and expressions. We could also tell of events that are meaningful, and thank those who have helped ease our pain.
